Businesswoman Michelle Inch, 25, owner of Pawfection Pet Boutique of Barry, South Wales in the United Kingdom, doesn't think so.

CUSTOM MANICURES FOR DOGS AND THEIR OWNERS
Ms. Inch runs a very successful dog grooming salon with over 2,000 clients. In addition to regular grooming, her salon offers a range of matching glittery paint manicures for dogs and their owners and brightly colored “claw caps,“ for the pooches which she explains ”are like fake nails for dogs. They're bright and fun, and also protect your household floors from scratches from their nails.”

FULL SERVICE DOG SPA
If nails on your dog are not your thing, pet owners can also treat there dogs to doggie facial treatments for $16 (£10). “The facial helps to remove tear stains from their faces and also is really relaxing for the dog - it sends them to sleep. 

We also do a soothing paw treatment which they love,” says Ms. Inch. “They are a part of the family. Why shouldn't they be treated and pampered every now and then? A lot of my customers treat their pets like their own children.”
Pets at the salon are spritzed with Jean Paul Gaultier or Coco Channel finishing sprays after their salon treatment. Ms. Inch also sells an assortment of apparel for dogs that include wedding outfits, fancy dresses, life jackets and even hiking boots for dogs! She started her home-based dog grooming business when she was 18 and opened the salon in Park road, Barry in August of 2013. 

”It's the best thing I've ever done,” she says. “Since the opening, we've had more than 2,000 clients - people thought it was a great idea and something the area really needed.”
