According to My Modern Met, the photos were taken around 1905 with
an 8x10 large-format camera on an 8x10 negative, the subject (the bulldog)
had to remain very still for several minutes at a time, which explains the
slight blurriness of these photos. The artist is unknown, but their ability to
capture the essence of this time period shows us the various detailed
accessories and clothing that people were wearing at this time including smoke
pipes, suits and hats.
