How beautiful do I look? This might be a question your dog might be thinking after taking a wet bath and trying to dry himself off by shaking off water, but award-winning photographer Carli Davidson has taken wet dogs to new heights in her latest book titled “Shake.”

Oregon-based photographer, Carli Davidson captures the essence of dogs in her latest book to feature over 130 pages of portraits of jowl flopping, skin shaking, fur spinning and drool in slow motion. Conceptualized back in 2011, Davidson began with the idea when she posted a few images online of dogs shaking, which were inspired by her dog Norbert, who's drool needed to be cleaned off the walls after a shake.

Over 100 dogs were considered for the photographic series, which 61 were selected. To accompany the book, Carli teamed up with the production company, Variable, to produce a beautifully shot 2 minute video shot at 10 frames a second.

Davidson began her work in photographing animals while working with the animal care team at the Oregon Zoo.
